Description
QuickSwitch™ Tetramer Kit utilizes a patented technique for exchanging up to ten peptides on an MHC class I tetramer. Reduce time and cost with this kit to create your own custom tetramers. The resulting custom tetramers can be used for multiple applications, including screening immunogenic peptides. HLA-B*07:02 is a common allele studied in infectious disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.
Some examples of relevance of HLA-B*07:02
Virus research: HLA-B*07:02 targets a broader range of HIV epitopes hence increased breadth of the HIV-specific CD8(+) T cell response which contributes to improved HIV immune control irrespective of the particular HLA molecules. https://doi.org/10.1089/aid.2013.0197
HLA-B*0702 associated with strong, dominant responses to Dengue virus and cytomegalovirus respectively. doi.org/10.1038/s41598-021-82400-3
Diabetes: HLA-B7 *02 has also been associated with T1 Diabetes (T1D)protection. HLA-B7 is expressed in ;15%of the healthy population and in ;7% of T1D patient. https://doi.org/10.2337/DB12-0136
Cancer: HLA-B*07:02-NY-ESO-1 restricted CD8+ T-cell repertoire shown to exhibit a diverse gene repertoire in vaccinated HLA-B*07:02+ melanoma patients. Importance in onco-immunology given its tumor-dependent expression and growing importance as a therapeutic target. doi.org/10.1038/s41467-018-03321-w
