Recombinant tagged proteins are widely used for protein purification and protein characterization. There are many purification methods and kits available. c-Myc epitope tag (EQKLISEEDL) has been widely used as a multi-purpose tag for protein purification. MBLI’s c-Myc-tagged Protein PURIFICATION CARTRIDGE is ready-to-use-cartridge for the isolation of c-Myc-tagged protein from cell culture supernatants and cell lysate under neutral pH condition. The cartridge can be used directly on automated KTA FPLC Systems. The elution of c-Myc-tagged proteins from the cartridge is achieved by the addition of the c-Myc-tag peptide (EQKLISEEDL). As the c-Myc-tag peptide competes with c-Myc-tagged proteins on the cartridge, the purified c-Myc-tagged proteins maintain function and retain protein activity.
