Anti-CENP-O (Chicken) pAb
Anti-CENP-O (Chicken) pAb Specifications
|Background:||Faithful chromosome segregation during mitosis a kinetochore is assembled from multIPPle protein complexes at the centromere of each chromatid of a replicated chromosome. A CENP-H/I complex is a member of kinetochore protein complexes and contains 11 components (CENP-H, CENP-I, CENP-K, CENP-L, CENP-M, CENP-N, CENP-O, CENP-P, CENP-Q, CENP-R, and CENP-50). The complex is required for chromosome congression, maintenance of stable chromosome alignment and timely progression from metaphase to anaphase. CENP-O was also reported as the nuclear protein MGC11266/ICEN36. In the fission yeast, Mal2, S. pombe CENP-O homologue, is a conserved kinetochore component that is essential for faithful chromosome segregation. Its S. cerevisiae homologue, Mcm21 protein, is part of the four-component COMA complex, which links DNA-associated kinetochore subcomplexes with those associating with microtubules.
