Target:

Cdc2Hs/Cdk1

Background:

Cell division cycle 2 (Cdc2) also named p34cdc2 or Cdk1 is a catalytic subunit of a protein kinase complex, called the M-phase promoting factor that induces entry into mitosis and is universal among eukaryotes. In the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe, the gene Cdc2 is responsible for controlling the transition from G1 phase to the S phase and from the G2 phase to the M phase of the cell cycle.

Clone 5F6 is used in reference number 1)-3).

Formulation:
100 ug IgG in 100 uL volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.
Reactivity:
This antibody reacts with Cdc2 on Western blotting, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. The epitope of 5F6 exists between amino acids 42 and 49 of Cdc2 (EGVPSTAI).
Intended Use:
For Research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedure.
