Target:

Cdk6

Background:

Cyclin-dependent kinase 6 (Cdk6) is a 38-40 kDa member of the Cdk family of mitotic kinases involved in cell cycle progression. The Cdk6 phosphoprotein, like Cdk4, associates with D-cyclins to regulate cell proliferation. Following translocation to the nucleus, the Cdk6 is phosphorylated by Cdk-Activating Kinase (CAK), and the Cdk6 complex, in association with PCNA, phosphorylates the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein. Overexpression of Cdk6 has been associated with several different types of cancer.

Formulation:
50 g IgG in 100 L volume of PBS containing 1% BSA, 10% glycerol and 0.09% NaN3.*Azide may react with copper or lead in plumbing system to form explosive metal azides. Therefore, always flush plenty of water when disposing materials containing azide into drain.
Reactivity:
This antibody reacts with Cdk6 on Western blotting and ImmunoprecIPPitation. It is reported that DCS-83 recognizes the N-terminus of human Cdk6 (30-65 aa) in the reference number 3).
Intended Use:
For Research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedure.
