| Background: | Control reagent for use with Annexin V reagents. Propidium Iodide (PI) binds to double-stranded DNA, but it can only cross the plasma membrane of nonviable cells. When viewed using a fluorescence microscope with a rhodamine filter, cells that have lost membrane integrity will show red PI staining throughout the nuclei. For analysis by flow cytometry, the PI staining can be monitored in FL2 channel. The PI reagent should be diluted to 250 ïg/ml with PBS before use. Add 1 ïl per annexin V assay, as described in the user manuals (JM-1001-1000, JM-1002-1000, JM-1004-1000). |
