Anti-SLC2A13/HMIT polyclonal antibody Trial size
Code No: BMP026B
Gene/antigen ID number:
114134
Background:
SLC2A13, also known as HMIT (H+-myo-inositol symporter), is an odd member of the facilitatative glucose transporter family, as it specifically transports myo-inositol, not hexoses. SLC2A13 is predominantly expressed in astrocytes and neurons in the brain, suggesting that it may be involved in the control of myo-inositol brain metabolism. Dysfunctions or genetic variants of SLC2A13 associated with neuronal disorders have not yet been reported.

50 uL volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.
Reactivity:
This antibody can be used to stain endogenous antigen in paraffin embedded human tissues including prostate by immunohistochemistry. The reactivity of this antibody has been confirmed by Western blotting, Immunocytochemistry and intracellular Flow cytometry to detect the full-length of human SLC2A13 transiently expressed in HEK 293T cells.
Intended Use:
For Research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedure.
