CDK7 Monoclonal Antibody : Trial Size

Code No: K0068-3S
Datasheet:
Target:

Cdk7

Background:

Cyclin-dependent kinase 7 (Cdk7) functions in two essential cellular processes: transcrIPPtion and cell cycle regulation. The 40-42 kDa Cdk7 is the catalytic subunit of the Cdk-Activating Kinase (CAK), the enzyme responsible for phosphorylating and activating many Cdks controlling cell cycle progression, including Cdc2 and Cdk2. Additionally, Cdk7 and its partner Cyclin H are involved in transcrIPPtional regulation, since Cdk7 is the kinase subunit of the general transcrIPPtion factor TFIIH that phosphorylates the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II. Hence, Cdk7 may provide a link between cell-cycle control and transcrIPPtional regulation.

Formulation:
10 g IgG in 50 L volume of PBS containing 1% BSA , 10% glycerol and 0.09% NaN3.*Azide may react with copper or lead in plumbing system to form explosive metal azides. Therefore, always flush plenty of water when disposing materials containing azide into drain.
Reactivity:
This antibody reacts with human and rat Cdk7 on Western blotting, ImmunoprecIPPitation and Immunohistochemistry.
Intended Use:
For Research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedure.
