SLC4A3/AE3
Code No: BMP059
Background:
SLC4A3, also known as anion exchange protein 3 (AE3), is a member of the bicarbonate transporter family. It predominantly transports chloride and bicarbonate. The SLC4A3 protein is widely distributed in the brain, heart, retina, smooth muscle, kidney, and gastrointestinal tracts. Deletion of the slc4a3 gene in mice results in inner retinal defects. In humans, the functional defects of the SLC4A3 protein caused by the A867D mutation are suggested to promote neuronal hyperexcitability in the brain and generate seizures.

Formulation:
50 uL volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.
Reactivity:
This antibody can be used to stain endogenous antigen in paraffin embedded human tissues including the small intestine and smooth muscles in large intestine by Immunohistochemistry. The reactivity has been confirmed by Immunocytochemistry and intracellular Flow cytometry to detect the full length of human SLC4A3 transiently expressed in HEK 293T cells.
Intended Use:
For Research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedure.
