SLC6A7 Polyclonal Antibody
Code No: BMP016
Background:
SLC6A7, also known as PROT, is a neurotransmitter transporter for L-proline, which is highly expressed on synaptic plasma membrane in brain. Uptake of L-proline by SLC6A7 is sodium and chloride dependent. The SLC6A7 gene is located on chromosome 5q31-q32 in human. In mouse, the SLC6A7 gene is located in a region of chromosome 18 associated with the murine 'bouncy' gait disorder. Gene variants of SLC6A7 associated with abnormal behaviors in human, however, have not yet been reported.

Formulation:
50 uL volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.
Reactivity:
This antibody can be used to stain endogenous antigen in paraffin embedded human tissues including brain and large intestine by immunohistochemistry. The reactivity of this antibody has been confirmed by Western blotting to detect the full-length of human SLC6A7 transiently expressed in HEK 293T cells.
Intended Use:
For Research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedure.
