SLC6A3 Polyclonal Antibody

Code No: BMP015
Datasheet:
Target:

SLC6A3/DAT1

Background:

SLC6A3, also known as DAT1, is a transporter for the neurotransmitter dopamine. SLC6A3 regulates dopamine homeostasis by reuptaking dopamine released into the synaptic cleft. SLC6A3 polymorphisms are associated with nicotine addiction, especially cessation attempts from individual cigarette smoking. Polymorphisms in the SLC6A3 gene have also been reported to constitute one cause for Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the most common childhood-onset behavioral disorder.

Formulation:
100 uL volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.
Reactivity:
This antibody can be used to stain endogenous antigen in paraffin embedded human tissues including brain and Peyer’s patches in large intestine by immunohistochemistry. The reactivity of this antibody has been confirmed by Western blotting to detect the full-length of human SLC6A3 transiently expressed in HEK 293T cells.
Intended Use:
For Research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedure.
