SLC19A2/THTR1 Polyclonal Antibody
Code No: BMP014
Background:
Thiamin (vitamin B1) is one of the
essential vitamins in the diet. SLC19A2/THTR1 and
SLC19A3/THTR2, members of the high affinity thiamine
transporter family, are expressed on epithelial cells of
kidney, small intestine and hepatocytes of liver, and have
important roles in maintaining body thiamin homeostasis.
Functional defects of SLC19A2 gene are responsible for
thiamine-responsive megaloblastic anemia syndrome
(TRMA).

Formulation:
100 uL volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.
Reactivity:
This antibody can be used to stainendogenous antigen in paraffin embedded human tissuesincluding kidney and liver by immunohistochemistry. Thereactivity of this antibody has been confirmed by Westernblotting to detect the full-length of human SLC19A2transiently expressed in HEK 293T cells.
Intended Use:
For Research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedure.
